The calla, or arum, is a houseplant about 12 inches tall, which bears funnel-shaped flowers, called a spathe in botany.
 Flowering lasts a few weeks, enough to illuminate the house with its bright colors, yellow, orange or pastel, pink, purple.
 A regular watering every 10 days on average will make its happiness and in summer the calla will also like outside, in the shade.
